My Medicare Registration
Due to recent Medicare changes aimed at supporting continuity of care and strengthening the relationship between patients and their regular GP, patients are now required to be registered with MyMedicare to receive Medicare benefits and rebates for certain services.
MyMedicare registration is required for the following items:
- Mental Health Treatment Plans + Mental Health Consultations
- Chronic Disease Management Plans (Care Plans)
- Long Telehealth Consultations
If we are your regular GP clinic, or you attend our practice for any of the above services, you will need to be registered with MyMedicare to remain eligible for Medicare rebates for these items.
How to register:
- You can self-register via the myGov app, linked to Medicare, under the MyMedicare tab (step-by-step prompts are provided).
- Alternatively, please let our reception staff know when you arrive for your appointment and they will be happy to assist with your registration.
- If you are currently registered with another clinic but wish to nominate our practice, please contact us on 07 3254 1400 or email admin@merthyrmedical.com.
