Consultation Guide
Consultations are by appointment. Please call our friendly reception team on 4365 2983 or book online.
Standard consultations last up to 15 minutes. Payment is required at time of consultation.
We appreciate your time, and our aim is to see you promptly. To assist us in keeping to time please advise us if you need to bring another family member to an appointment or if you feel a longer appointment is required if you have multiple problems or a complex issue to discuss. Women’s health checks, mental health appointments and EPC plans generally require a longer consult. Additionally, if you have multiple problems, please consider booking a long consultation. Long consultations are up to 20minutes.
Please see each individual doctors profile for their fees.
Telehealth appointments available. Please note, as per Medicare requirements, you must have been seen face to face at the practice within the last 12 months to be eligible for a Medicare Rebate. Times are approximate, and the Doctor will call you when they are ready to speak to you on the number you provide at the time of booking. Please note, this could be up to two hours either side of your appointment time.
Walk in patients are triaged as appropriate. Non-urgent walk-in patients are accepted if there is an available appointment, or, scheduled to the next available appointment based on triage.
Home Visits
Home Visits may be available to existing patients, but will need to be triaged by each individual doctor. Please call to discuss.
Email Policy
Our email address can be used to send through simple and administrative communications to Doctor’s and staff. Please note, this should not be used for urgent medical problems or to obtain health advice as it is not monitored continually throughout the day. Our email policy can be found here if you need to communicate in this way.
All emails received will be read and triaged by practice staff before being passed on to the addressee, and then stored in the patient record. While we make every effort to keep your information secure, electronic communication can be potentially compromised and accessed by persons outside our practice, so this is done at your own risk.
Telephone Calls
Doctors will take telephone calls relating to you and your family’s health, however, where possible, we request this is done in a scheduled Telehealth appointment. If the matter is not urgent, they may need to return your call when practically possible. Please leave any details you can with the receptionist, including where and when you can be contacted. It is preferable to obtain results with a consultation. Please make an appointment to obtain your results. At times where it is appropriate to give results over the phone we will do our best to ensure confidentiality.
New Patients
When possible, new patients are welcome. From time to time, it is necessary to close our books to new patients. This is to ensure best care can be provided to existing patients and allow appointments in a timely manner. Please phone the reception team to discuss current availability. New patient bookings are not available online.
If you are an existing patient and have a partner or dependant child <18, who has not yet been to the practice, please contact our reception team to book.
